In spite of the vast advancement in technology, the exposure of a primary sector like agriculture to technology is quite limited in India. With an exponential decrease in the labour availability for agriculture, a second green revolution is the order of the day. The objective of this paper is to reduce the pressure on manual labour. This is done with the help of Arduino, LabView and X-bee Technology. Essential parameters of the field are sensed to have a continuous unmanned supervision.

There are basically three levels in the project which work independently. The first level is the field level which is placed in the field itself. This measure the various parameters of the environment of the field using the sensors. The values measured by these sensors are sent to the next level by means of Xbee. The next level is the monitoring level, this level receives the data from the field level through Xbee shield connected to Arduino and is sent to Labview through Arduino. The parameters can be monitored using Labview. The fuzzy algorithm for the outputs are also coded in the Labview. The fuzzy inputs are Soil Moisture Level, Humidity and Temperature. The Humidity is given higher priority or preference as the spraying of water to increase humidity in turn increases soil moisture level to an extent. The fuzzy outputs are Drip System for irrigation and Sprayer system to control humidity in air. The Drip system is also used to fertilize the plants while the sprayer system can be used to spray weedicide before sowing the crops. The other input from the Light Dependant Resistor(LDR) is directly used to control the artificial lighting system. The third level is the control level. This level is used to control the outputs using relays connected through Arduino. The other feature of the project is that the various sensor values are regularly uploaded to the server which ca be used for agricultural research in future.
