In this video I will be demonstrating how to replace the IACV on your older Subaru. This car is a 1993 Subaru Legacy Sedan 5 Speed. Yes, despite the red intake manifold, it is simply just an EJ22E, I painted the manifold while I was rebuilding it. I had to replace this because I was getting a CEL, and my car was idling like crap. I figure from here on out I might as well record my repairs and share it to those who might not know exactly what to do, but a repair like this is pretty straight forward. Hope you enjoy. If you have any questions, feel free to ask, I know Subarus very well.
–NOTE– Depending on how your new IACV is adjusted, it will take a little breaking in, in order for it to be tuned right and be learned. It might idle a little higher than usual, but it should tune out after some driving.
