How to fix common AC problem on Lincoln MKZ. No compressor engagement due to failed evap temp sensor

This is a 2007 Lincoln MKZ. They are known for the AC compressor not turning on due to a faulty evaporator temperature sensor. To actually replace this sensor is VERY expensive, the dash must be removed. However there is a very inexpensive fix that will get you going again till you can afford to fix it right, and that’s only if you want to because this will work for as long as you want. Worst case the evaporator could freeze up and you would lose air flow till you turned off the system to thaw it out. Could happen running it on low fan and recirculate in very humid conditions but this fix is in several vehicles I know of for several years now with NO problems. Feel free to ask any questions. Thanks for watching and I hope this helps you save some money!! **UPDATE** 7/25/16: I wanted to add that the very first one of these I did almost 7 years ago came back into the shop last week for some other work but the a/c is STILL WORKING PERFECTLY!! Also the resistance chart is at 5:10. Enjoy!
