The CVT transmission is one of the most computerized power transffer components ever made. Its very existence, is due to the great advances in electronics of the past 20 years. It is truly a work of technological art. The heart of the CVT, electro mechanical control at the transmission is the valve body.
Components that make up the CVT valve body can include, the TCC lockup and pulse width modulated solenoid, secondary variator pressure solenoid, line pressure solenoid, primary and secondary variator pressure sensors, the stepper motor, the ratio control valve found on many types of CVTs, and the temperature sensor.
