Lower and center dash removal: 30 to 90 minutes.
Everything in the center dash was out and not working. The fuse, #20 I believe, kept blowing and when a fuse was installed it would cause something in the center dash area to smoke/burn. Turned out to the the Central Information Display Module that tells you information about the Jeep (doors open, gas mileage, etc.), it had a problem internally.
This video will show you how to remove the lower dash area and center dash area so you can gain access to center dash components like the radio, climate control unit and the information module.
Should be the same for Jeep Grand Cherokee from 1993 – 1998.
