The home automation, our point of concern deals with the control of home appliances from a central location. In our project we have used AVR controller ATmega16 as a controlling unit and AVR studio4 with WINAVR as a programming tool and PROTEUS 7.2 as a hardware simulation tool. We have implemented application of our project on hardware, those are — automatic controlling of fan and tube light using RF remote, temperature display on LCD, automatic water level controlling system, password based door lock security system, controlling of appliances by mobile using Mt8870 DTMF Decoder IC.
