A side note: Many carbs have mixture screws on the sides of the carburetor bodies. These too should be removed when cleaning to blow air through the passages behind them. For example a manual may specify 1 1/2 turns out. You would thread in the screw until it lightly bottoms, then turn the screw out 1.5 revolutions.
