1. Operation Principle

Although the C4 Digital Dash is an impressive technological device it does have a few weak points. One of those weaknesses was the illumination of the cluster. From 1984-1988 Halogen bulbs were used until the Xenon filled bulbs replaced them. These bulbs drew a lot of electrical current which put even more demand on the dash cluster’s already taxed power supply. Also, the life expectancy of halogen bulbs is only about 1500 hours.
